Everyones saying Matt’s voice has changed, deepend and can’t sing this song anymore, but he singed it exactly how it is on the album. Only when they played live in their Origins era did they ever play with higher vocals. I prefer how they used to play it but thats not to say they can’t.

I was there and even though i might have watched the very last performance of Hyper Music live and i feel very privileged to have done so, i would still rather they started playing it for years and years to come. I can’t believe they stopped playing this once they had started their Absolution era and so on.

@THIVYondaTOILET exactly. the falsetto things requires a total different vocal perfomance than the clean voice tone does. and even in the Origin tour Matt used to have a hard time to reach those notes at the chorus of Hyper Music, so it is reasonable ten years later he still does.

@museicfan756 the thing with supermassive black hole was that is more of a falsetto thing that , where as the hyper music was just him screaming really really high, and i guess he cant do that anymore

But then again, the Hyper Music chorus isn’t as high as Micro Cuts or Supermassive Black Hole, is it? Yet he can still sing that. And the harmonies on the recorded version of Knights of Cydonia are still crazy
