    sorry buddy whole steps are not merely abcdefg. B and C as well as E and F are half steps. Look on any piano. C to C is an octave of course. 2 strikes so far on the first free course and that’s probably just a start. There is a reason for sharps and flats and that reason is that every major scale has the same intervalic relationship. Tone Tone semitone Tone Tone Tone semitone…check it out then start your scale on any note and use the major scale interval rule…

    Very clearly explained. This may sound cookoo, as I have been playing Guitar for years and years, I never realized a keyboard was laid out in alphabetical order. That alone would help me learn to play, I can type if I can at the very least bang out the once I learn to read. Will you be posting more or do you have a DVD? Thanks.
